Translate as you read.

Three ways to translate a selection — all open the same panel.

1. Select at least two characters of text on any page.
2. Then do one of: click the floating Krendo button by your selection, press Alt+Shift+T (⌥+⇧+T on Mac), or right-click and choose “Translate with Krendo.”
3. The panel shows the translation, a dictionary (parts of speech, synonyms), a speaker for pronunciation, and a Save button.

Krendo opens PDFs in its own viewer so the same tools work inside them. Files on your computer need one Chrome permission.

1. Turn on the viewer: open Settings and enable PDF viewer. Any .pdf link then opens where you can translate.
2. For files on your computer (file://), open chrome://extensionsCopy, find Krendo, and switch on “Allow access to file URLs.”Only Chrome can set this — the extension can’t ask for it.
3. Open the PDF or local file in Chrome, then select text and translate as usual.

Pick what you translate from and into. The popup and the in-page panel each remember their own pair.

1. In the popup or the in-page panel header, click the Source or Target language.
2. Choose from 190+ languages. Source defaults to Auto-detect, target to English.
3. If the wrong source is detected, pick the right one once — Krendo remembers it for similar selections on that site.
